MRI Research Center
The Auburn University MRI Research Center opened in November 2010.
- Located at 570 Devall Drive in the Auburn Research Park, the Auburn University
MRI Research Center was formed in partnership with the Siemens Corporation as
center in the Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. Completed
in November, 2010, the Center is housed in a 45,000 square foot building that is
the location of both a 3T scanner operated under contract by the East Alabama
Medical Center (EAMC), and will have a 7T scanner (to be installed in January
of 2012). In addition to the university research activities, the Auburn Spine and
Neurosurgery Center is located in the building.
- The facility is part of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and supports
research in such areas as veterinary medicine, psychology, kinesiology,
pharmacy, biological sciences, as well as engineering
